Teresa McTaggart for Canberra

Teresa McTaggart

Teresa McTaggart is the Animal Justice Party (AJP) Candidate for the electorate of Canberra. She is a second-generation local, born and raised in Hackett, currently living in Reid. She offers a strong voice for the community.

Teresa has extensive experience in both the public sector and private sector, with a career spanning management, IT, policy, cyber security and small business.

Over the years, she has seen the lack of action by elected officials regarding animal welfare, particularly native animals, and the ever growing issues of climate change. Teresa is concerned about the future for all Australians and believes that concerns raised by grassroots Australians are overlooked in favour of big businesses and well-funded lobbyists.

She became a member of the AJP after deciding it was important to take action and effect change at a political level. She is standing to represent the people of Canberra to ensure their voices are heard and action is taken.

Donate to Animal Justice Party ACT

The Animal Justice Party relies on regular donations to be able to run in Elections. Your generosity has helped us to increase our vote in each of the recent Territory & Federal Elections and this puts pressure on the major parties to make positive legislative changes for animals.
